Distribution of Temnopleurus alexandri in Australia

T. alexandri is found in a range of marine waters around Australia, including Fremantle, Western Australia, Timor Sea, Northern Territory, and along the coast of Queensland to south of Sydney, New South Wales (Miskelly 1968). Its depth range is 0.5 to 73m and is found in coarse sand and shell rubble, as well as amongst seaweed (Miskelly 1968). T. alexandri has not yet been recorded anywhere else but in Australian waters.
